A Skims-clad Kim Kardashian Takes to the Cover of The Financial Times HTSI Supplement

We’ve become completely accustomed to seeing Kim Kardashian plastered across almost every major magazine publication on the planet. From landing her first solo cover of Vogue (via the lens of Gilles Bensimon) in 2015 to munching on Cheetos on the cover of GQ – Kim is a regular fixture down at the newsstand. Kim Kardashian’s latest magazine cover appearance arrives in the form of The Financial Times HTSI supplement for October 5, 2024. The American reality TV star turned billionaire businesswoman poses for photographer Vanessa Beecroft in the cover shot. The co-founder of Skims (valued at over $4 billion in 2023) poses on a bed of newspaper, wearing a sheer floor-length dress from the shapewear brand, as selected for the occasion by cover shoot stylist Jay Massacret.

“Normally I think Kim Kardashian looks great but this is an awful photo of her,” critiqued KoV.

“Agreed, this is bad,” chimed in forum member fauxfashion.

“She has become a cyborg. No life behind those eyes,” Alquimista added.

MyNameIs pleaded: “Make it go away. Enough is enough.”

“Terrible lighting. Kim looks like a vampire that has been hit by the sun. Anyone who watched American Horror Story: Delicate will tell you that it’s difficult to make Kim Kardashian look bad. Unfortunately, they did here. The pose made her look shorter too,” Urban Stylin complained.

Not everyone, however, was left so disappointed. “I love the cover because it looks different. I like the contrast between Kim’s total look and the newspaper background. She looks so good: love her hair and outfit. Her expression could have been better but it could have been worse,” reasoned MModa.

“I like the cover, seen worse from Vogue over recent months. I’m also a fan of the newspapers and the simplicity of Kim’s look here, added vogue28.
