You might have become completely accustom to hearing us berate Harper’s Bazaar here at theFashionSpot. After all, the slight majority of the magazine’s cover fronts throughout 2024 have been declared a total flop. Not even the presence of Gisele Bündchen, Solange Knowles, Emma Corrin and Winona Ryder has been enough to impress. Samira Nasr invites Jennie (of the K-pop sensation Blackpink) as a Harper’s Bazaar cover star for October 2024. Now venturing out as a solo act, the South Korean singer, rapper and Chanel brand ambassador poses before the lens of Zoë Ghertner. Styled by Carlos Nazario, Jennie gazes down Ghertner’s lens donning a Chanel Haute Couture cape, bustier, and briefs, captured against a shimmering gold backdrop.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Wow, Jennie is really giving us nothing,” critiqued MDNA the second the cover dropped.
“Why don’t these K-pop girlies give any life in their photos?” asked blueorchid.
“Jennie and her bandmates have made a commitment to never serve,” replied KoV.
AritsoCrazy wasn’t exactly smitten with the end result either: “Jenner has never ever served but this is truly GHASTLY. She is supposed to be the ‘pretty one’ of her group but when taken out of the K-pop styling and filter, Jennie is plainer than an unglazed donut!”
“Are the women that read Harper’s Bazaar really going to know who this singer is? Will they even care?” GivenchyHomme questioned.
“Because I’m always bashing Samira Nasr, I will start off on a positive note: I like the colors. I like the Chanel, and the graphic black masthead. Not too fond of the wet hair, the lank pose from Jennie and Zoë Ghertner’s amateur photography,” voiced vogue28.
