As Balenciaga creative director, Demna continues to flex his ability to drop advertising campaigns with the crème de la crème from the world of fashion, film and beyond. Throughout 2024 alone, we’ve bared witness to everyone from Kate Moss and Nicole Kidman to Amelia Gray and Yang Chaoyue fronting the campaigns of the Paris-based fashion house (founded by Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1919). Next up is celebrated actress Naomi Watts, French screen icon Isabelle Huppert (the first-ever Balenciaga ambassador) and returning Balenciaga campaign star Kim Kardashian (who signed on the dotted line as brand ambassador in early 2024). The women pose for Nadav Kander throughout the “Characters” campaign series. Shot in the studio, “each star shows a facet of herself by creating a character study, sitting in a simple chair on a white seamless”.

Isabelle was supposed to give this range, but no one gave her direction on what to do with the bag, and it shows.
