Eva Herzigova Pays Tribute to Paris on the July/August 2024 Covers of Harper’s Bazaar Spain

Olympic fever is in full swing, with the 2024 Paris Olympics set to commence Friday June 26. Our fave fashion glossies are hyped for the upcoming international multi-sport event. From Anna Wintour bestowing upon us the Vogue World: Paris extravaganza to British Vogue‘s Chioma Nnadi championing Team GB’s Katarina Johnson-Thompson. Harper’s Bazaar Spain is one of the latest fashion titles to jump on the theme of sports and celebrates all-things Paris with its double July/August 2024 offering. Inma Jimenez Mateos welcomes Eva Herzigova as cover star, who is splashed across a quartet of French-themed covers, via the lens of photographer Xavi Gordo. The Czech beauty and current face of Saint Laurent is styled by Cris Terrón in looks from Paris-based fashion houses Coperni, Jacquemus, Alaïa and Mugler.

“Paris, I love you, but it seems we just don’t have the budget for a cover shoot based in France,” sighed tigerrouge.

“They just needed to execute the Paris/Olympics tribute well. A lack of budget can never be the reason to not deliver,” added forum member Xone.

“Honestly, they failed miserably,” GivenchyAddict declared.

Bertrando3 wasn’t buying it either, commenting: “Gosh! At the very least either pick a French model, do a shoot in Paris or produce something Olympic Games related. Don’t do a black and white unrelated photoshoot, with the French flag used as the masthead!”

“Eva Herzigova’s face in the first cover reflects totally the mood of Parisians right now,” noted Lola701.

Some remained interested, however. “You could never make me dislike anything French or Paris-themed. Throw in Eva Herzigova and it feels like a total triumph. I don’t even mind the cliche art direction, it works and there’s a sense of effort which I can appreciate. Plus, there’s a fashion element to it, which is a sight for sore eyes after all these sports-related covers,” defended vogue28.
