Sun, Sea, Crocodiles & Candice Swanepoel Feature in Balmain’s Pre-Fall 2024 Campaign

Olivier Rousteing has exquisite taste in models. Fact. After all, during the Fall 2024 season of Menswear Paris Fashion Week back in January, the designer called upon none other than Naomi Campbell to close the show. For the Spring 2024 campaign of the French luxury fashion house founded by Pierre Balmain in 1945, Rousteing enlisted the Brazilian bombshell that is Gisele Bündchen. The celebrated French designer champions another Victoria’s Secret alumni, in the form of Candice Swanepoel with the unveiling of the Pre-Fall 2024 advertising campaign. The South African beauty takes Asteras Beach situated in Glyfada, Greece throughout the splashy and sun-drenched campaign imagery. Joined by male model Mamuor Majeng and a reptile companion, Swanepoel poses up a storm for photographer Theo Liu down on the water’s edge.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Love it, Candice Swanepoel is perfectly suited to the concept,” Urban Stylin instantly approved.

“Very Helmut Newton! Things are changing in Olivier’s work,” pointed out Lola701.

“And some Peter Beard,” acknowledged forum member yslforever. “It’s nice to see evolution!”

Also very much a fan was vogue28: “I’m into it. The images themselves are fun, vibrant, kitsch and seem to have slight Helmut Newton-ish vibe I am 100% here for. Not to mention how wonderful it is to see someone like Candice Swanepoel.”

“OK, this is… different. I like the idea of it being like a giant reptile movie thriller. Never keen on Candice Swanepoel but somehow it all works here given the movie feel and the model being more commercial than high-fashion. All in all… different!” said Mr Yayo.
