At the very least, as editor-in-chief of British ELLE, Kenya Hunt is making a continued effort to champion and support homegrown talent. After all, four out of five of the magazine’s cover subjects throughout 2024 (thus far) have been prime examples of Britain’s finest, with the likes of BAFTA Award-winning actress Lashana Lynch, supermodel Naomi Campbell and Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter Raye ranking as ELLE cover stars. The June 2024 issue ultimately goes to Little Simz, who makes her British ELLE cover debut via the lens of Ekua King. The British rapper who was asked by Miuccia Prada to walk the runway of Miu Miu’s Fall 2024 showcase during Paris Fashion Week wears a jacket from Miu Miu in the cover photograph, as chosen for the occasion by stylist Georgia Medley.

“She looks bored to death,” shrieked matheus_s the moment the cover dropped.
In complete agreement, forum member Ihhbl added: “She looks so bored!”
“As are we,” replied KoV. “The green will pop, that’s it.”
“I love that shade of green used for the backdrop, and the cover stands out immensely on the shelves because of it. However, the shot of Little Simz is so… weak and lifeless. Boring beyond belief, that I am once again questioning Kenya Hunt’s ability to select the right cover shot,” voiced vogue28.
“I like the green. It’s unusual to see on a cover and I quite like the image, but her expression is indeed bored. Shame, Little Simz is a nice choice for a cover star,” honeycombchild shared.
