Designers as fashion photographer’s isn’t exactly newfangled. Throughout the years we’ve encountered the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Nicholas Ghesquière and Olivier Rousteing (to name just a very select few) each picking up a camera, adding to their many creative talents. Erdem Moralioğlu is the latest with the unveiling of Vogue Poland’s December 2023 issue. Alek Wek becomes Polish Vogue‘s latest cover girl in the process, dressed by stylist duo Ali + Aniko in looks from Erdem’s namesake fashion label, across a duo of collectable covers. For the occasion, the Sudanese-British model (and firm forum favorite) roams the decadent and ornate surroundings of the No.1 Royal Crescent museum in Bath, England.
Members of theFashionSpot forum sure liked what they saw. “I’m ALWAYS here for Alek!” enthused DK92.
“The first cover is GLORIOUS!” MON exclaimed in sheer delight.
“Instant love! It’s weird that Alek Wek gets more covers now when she is considered a veteran, as opposed to when she was on her heyday,” voiced oaklee91.
Bertrando3 agreed, sharing: “YES more Vogue covers with Alek! I find it weird that she’s racking more Vogue covers NOW versus when she was modeling full time. Still, it’s good that she gets her due. Alek is a modeling icon!”
