Zendaya’s been a regular fixture down at newsstands since forever. We’ve seen the American actress gracing all the major fashion titles, including ELLE, Marie Claire, InStyle, W and Vogue (more than once). So it comes as no surprise to see Francesca Ragazzi tap Zendaya for Vogue Italia asking the global superstar to grace the magazine’s July 2022 edition. Photographed by Elizaveta Porodina and styled by Law Roach, Zendaya transforms into the legendary Josephine Baker wearing a Valentino minidress and Bulgari jewelry for the stylized cover shot.
The majority of our forum members certainly approve. “Kind of love this, it’s not what I expected. Still have Zendaya fatigue from the rampant overexposure, but this is memorable, creative and would stand out on the newsstand and my coffee table…” admitted KINGofVERSAILLES.
“Gorgeous colors, gorgeous dress, love Zendaya. I need to have this, it is made for the living room!” echoed dodencebt.
“The cover is beautiful, love the colors and lighting,” admired aracic.

“Oh wow. I adore this. I adore the colors, what she wears, the pose! Everything!” exclaimed oaklee91.
“Very pleasantly surprised at how much I like this considering I used to be unable to stand the sight of Zendaya on fashion magazine covers. Also rapidly becoming fond of Elizaveta Porodina’s work and loving the Josephine Baker vibes I’m getting here,” declared vogue28.
But not everyone is buying it. “Looks like one of those fan tributes that’s psychologically revealing about the person who made it. Face of a painted child, hands like Gollum, menaced by shadowy figures in the yolk-like background,” described tigerrouge.
“I thought it was fan art,” Urban Stylin chimed in.
