We will forever be grateful to Anna Ewers for bestowing upon us some truly wonderful fashion imagery. Since adding her very first Vogue cover to her portfolio back in 2013, umpteen covers of Vogue Paris and Vogue Germany have kept us enthralled. Not to mention wonderful advertising campaigns for Chanel, Max Mara, David Yurman and Isabel Marant to name just a few. So it comes as no surprise to see Anna become the face of Jil Sander’s new Sunset fragrance for 2022. The ad embodies the name of the scent perfectly complete with photographer Karim Sadli capturing the German beauty taking a dip in the ocean with an idyllic Mexican sunset in the background.
Needless to say, Anna’s latest gig commanded the attention of our forum members. “You always know what you’re going to get from Anna Ewers and she does what she does well, but fashion loves using Anna over and over again to play the same narrow range of characters…” noted tigerrouge.
“Anna Ewers had ‘it’ when she started, a real seductive quality, but with time she became so bland and inexpressive. She’s not a model I’m interested in seeing,” expressed YohjiAddict.

Although not everyone feels the same way. “I like this. Echoes campaigns from the late 70s,” admired ivano.
