You’ll Either Love or Loathe Margot Robbie’s Vogue Australia Cover for December

Australia powers on with a new creative direction that was first introduced in the September issue. Now, fresh from the cover of W Magazine and ELLE, Margot Robbie shows us just how photogenic she is on the magazine’s final cover of the year, shot by Lachlan Bailey. Closing out 2017 on a high, Margot was styled by Christine Centenera in an intriguing Alexander McQueen creation.

Members of our forums either loved or loathed the cover. “Their best cover all year, Margot looks so gorgeous and cool. I like that it also fits the summer season in Australia,” approved forum member Nomar.

“Gorgeous. I love seeing a cover that will pop at the newsstand,” raved Lucien112, eager to see the cover in person.

“I must admit, this has to be their best cover for 2017,” stated MON, before adding, “Imagine this one! The couch looks like it smells. The styling is horrible. Meh.”

Also not much of a fan was Bertrando3. “Sooooo boring! I like the face but the styling and shoes are hideous! Where is the Vogue Australia we all used to love? Oh right, it disappeared several months ago,” he laughed.

Miss Dalloway wasn’t buying it either, commenting, “What a letdown! Bad face expression, ZERO energy, horrible styling, and even worse setting, Sigh! Sometimes fashion people just have no idea what to do with Margot, which is a crime in my book since she is not only beautiful, but photogenic!”

GivenchyHomme felt the same way about the styling: “Why did they put her in those boots? Why? Other than that awful styling choice, the cover is very good.”

“I think it’s kind of perfect,” reasoned HeatherAnne. “She deserves a cover. She looks like a model. And the Australian redneck vibe is fun!”
