Spain’s brand new editor-in-chief, Eugenia de la Torriente, now firmly has her feet under the desk at the Spanish fashion bible’s HQ and is beginning to roll out her new vision for the magazine. After failing to impress with April’s bland cover featuring Adwoa Aboah and Cameron Rusell, de la Torriente amps up the energy for May 2017 with a vibrant and lively beauty-focused cover photo. Photographer Richard Burbridge captures a radiant Grace Elizabeth for Vogue Spain’s latest, resulting in an extremely inviting and eye-catching cover.

The cover was a hit (mostly) with our hard-to-please forum members. “What a gorgeous cover! We all need a bit of gorgeous every once in a while!” proclaimed a more than satisfied Miss Dalloway.
“Richard Burbridge really seems to love Grace. She’s a beautiful girl with real expression and this is far better than the April cover. Kind of reminds me of an American Vogue cover from the 1980s,” described a delighted 333101.
“Amazing, so early 90s,” cheered ivano.
“Stunning cover — that’s not what I expected!” raved liberty33r1b.
Forum member CATO even went as far as to declare it the “best cover this year so far!”
“This is undeniably a gorgeous cover from Vogue Spain (a thousand times better than last month’s snoozefest). Love Grace Elizabeth, love a commanding beauty shot on magazine covers and I am all for the color red here,” favored vogue28.
“She looks stunning! A great cover photo from Burbridge, Grace and Vogue Spain. However, I would like the photo to be more zoomed out, and that the layout was in more harmony with the photo,” critiqued StockholmFW.
Benn98 echoed the same sentiments, commenting, “Love Grace, so I’m really glad for her. Her face truly belongs in a beauty campaign, Estée Lauder take note! Not too keen on this cover though, I think the close-up is too close.”
