Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Ashley Graham and Others Celebrate Diversity on the March Cover of Vogue

Models on the cover of Vogue? No, you’re not dreaming. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Beyoncé were the names tossed around our Cover Rumor Thread in anticipation of Vogue‘s upcoming March edition, but we’re gifted a bevy of today’s hottest models instead. Liu Wen, Ashley Graham, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam, Adwoa Aboah and Vittoria Ceretti appear on Vogue‘s diverse cover celebrating the many faces of beauty. Dutch photographic duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin are finally given their debut American Vogue cover — after decades of working for the magazine without a single cover to their name.

It didn’t take long for our forum members to generate discussion. “YESSS! Models!! What great casting!” miguelalmeida enthused.

“OMG! I’ve died and gone to heaven. Finally, a US Vogue to be really excited about. I’m especially happy for Imaan. So glad she’s not on the foldout this time,” added an equally impressed mikel.

Avogrado couldn’t have disagreed more. “I’ve always been waiting for a model cover for US Vogue, but not a cover like this. A TOTAL MESS,” he complained.

“I’m glad we have a model cover and not Lady Gaga or Katy Perry as rumored. But I don’t like this cast. Gigi, Kendall and even Ashley all have names big enough to land solo covers. Their spots should have gone to other girls. But good for Liu, Adwoa, Imaan and Vittoria,” expressed sixtdaily.

Here’s One Good Thing About 2016: Magazine Covers Were More Diverse Than Ever (Report) ]

Sharing the same sentiments was dodencebt, writing, “It’s a fantastic and very diverse casting but I am not fan of the image itself. Their heads look huge in the black turtlenecks.”

Honeycombchild felt the same way. “For the most part the casting is well executed, Kendall and Gigi being the exception for me, but what an awful image. Roll necks on a beach with shorts. I don’t care what runway the look walked off, that line-up of black tops doesn’t look good at all,” he echoed.

“I wanna like this but I really can’t. The cast is random, the pose looks like sorority girls, the composition overall is a mess,” slammed Marc10.
