Our forum members had pretty mixed reactions to Bazaar’s new cover. “It’s 2016, and we are STILL bombarded with Reese for over two decades now. Beyond sick of seeing her, Cate, Nicole and Charlize etc at this point, just sick of it!!! Bazaar needs a major, major change, it’s beyond a joke now, and the art direction is supremely dated!” Miss Dalloway ranted.
“Recycled actress and concept,” mocked kokobombon.
“More like 2006! I don’t mind Reese, but this ‘Old Hollywood’ look is exactly that – OLD! Very old,” chimed in an underwhelmed gazebo.
Benn98 soon replied, “So true! I think women like Reese, Gwyneth and Julia etc are always styled the same.”
But not everyone was so appalled. “I can’t really hate it. Yes, it’s exactly what Harper’s Bazaar always does, but at least it’s one of the better versions of their somewhat tired formula,” reasoned honeycombchild.
“I wanted to hate it, but I can’t, the photo is so warm and inviting. It takes you somewhere far away…” admired Srdjan.
“When you’re using a generic cover formula, there can be times when you do it well,” tigerrouge admitted.
