The July 2007 issue of US Vogue has Russian model Natalia Vodianova on the front cover. Photographed by Mario Testino, Natalia wears a Nina Ricci white draped silk organza cocktail dress with crystal detail, looking every bit of the elegant goddess she embodies effortlessly.
For a thin summer issue with only 194 pages, it’s surprising how much fashion there is inside. We’re treated to fashion stories from David Sims, Mario Testino, Irving Penn and an accessories shoot from Miles Aldridge. The best thing, however, is the selection of models: Sasha Pivovarova, Coco Rocha, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini, Iselin Steiro, Natalia Vodianova and Suvi Koponen all lend their expertise to Vogue‘s pages.
Suvi only has one shot by Craig McDean for an article regarding the glamour of the grown-up season. She is captured against a rich green backdrop whilst wearing a showstopping red Donna Karan dress and her luscious blonde hair styled in Veronica Lake waves. This one photograph is stunning to say the least and is a credit to Suvi’s now ever-growing portfolio.
