Two Antonio Berardi-esque pieces were spotted (by LanaLana and Clarissea in the forums) on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway; they are most likely not copycats but real Berardi designs, mixed in with Victoria’s Secret lingerie. The sheer paneled black minidress above, modeled by Cara Delevingne, is identical to one which appeared on the British fashion designer’s Spring 2010 runway show. And the bedazzled oxblood leggings below, worn at the taping by Devon Windsor, belong to Berardi’s Spring 2012 collection.
Victoria’s Secret’s longtime runway stylist, Sophia Neophitou, has also been consulting on the Antonio Berardi label for years — she was even listed as creative director at the Spring 2014 show. We’ve reached out to Neophitou to ask whether this is the first time she’s placed Berardi pieces in the VS Fashion Show, and what the thinking is behind mixing designer pieces into the Victoria’s Secret runway looks.
