“First off, FREJA!!!! VogueDisciple93 exclaimed. “But this is an awful cover, some of the worst styling I’ve seen. Just a cacophony of patterns and colors – WHY IS THAT LEOPARD THING THERE? This isn’t punk, this is ugly.”
Luxx commented: “This cover is a mess and having a good model can’t save it from itself. I don’t care who is on the cover, the pose, the horrible leopard print, even the ensemble – none of it is working for me.”
Mat Cyruss called out Freja’s “strange pose” and the “pattern nightmare” on the cover as particular eye-sores.
I’ve tried to be a defender of Vogue Paris and Emmanuelle Alt since she took over as Editor-in-Chief, but there’s really no defending this. Freja’s giving great face, but that’s nowhere near enough to make this cover work.
