Chappell Roan created a major fashion moment while attending the Grammy Awards 2025. On Sunday, the singer graced the red carpet looking like an absolute art installation. She wore an archival gown by Jean Paul Gaultier from the designer’s 2003 Spring/Summer Couture collection, reported L’Officiel. The yellow ball gown, which had hints of pastel blue, brown, and black, perfectly showcased the artist’s one-of-a-kind theatre-inspired style. On the other hand, Roan took home the Best New Artist award at the 2025 Grammys.

Chappell Roan showed her mastery in extravagant dressing at the 67th Grammy Awards. Besides boasting various pastel colors, her vintage Jean Paul Gaultier ball gown looked like a work of art as it included multiple sartorial elements. The sleeveless gown featured black ribbon-like straps, which were tied into bows on the shoulders. The ensemble further had a corseted bodice that fit the singer perfectly.
The bodice of the dress fell into a voluminous ball skirt with layers of tulle fabric, which is similar to the light ballerina tutus. L’Officel mentioned that the gown has an Edgar Degas-inspired print over the skirt, which elevated the theatrical element of the ensemble. In addition to that, the skirt’s waistline featured intricate floral adornments that were different from the runway look.
Chappell Roan styled the gown with pastel blue opera gloves and a matching tulle scarf wrapped around her neck. She opted for a pair of black and bright yellow shoes to complete the Grammys 2025 outfit. As for her makeup, the singer chose to go with her signature makeup look, and this time it comprised of a whitish base, yellow and blue eyeshadow, black eyeliner and mascara, heavy pink blush, and a hint of glitter around the eyes. A dark burgundy lip finished off the singer’s makeup look. Lastly, Roan decorated her reddish long curls with a feathery headpiece in white, light blue, and yellow.
