According to Harper’s Bazaar, the piece was inspired by a look from the brand’s 52nd couture collection. The sparkly one-shoulder piece added an elegant touch with its drapey tailoring and a train. It was made out of mesh fabric embroidered with all-over crystals and rhinestones. Meanwhile, the highlight of the bedazzling piece was its racy backless design.
Although Kidman’s Balenciaga gown seemed completely skin-baring from the back, the section actually featured a barely visible transparent material to hold the piece together. The dress also added a hint of drama with a high slit on the side of the flowy skirt. Another attention-commanding element of Kidman’s ensemble was her voluminous sky-high ponytail. The actor’s hairstyle, which was styled by Adir Abergel, added a glamorous twist to her look. As for her accessories, she wore a shiny pair of drop earrings, a bracelet, and a set of rings.
