Lucy Liu has been upping her fashion game throughout the press tour of her upcoming film, “Red One.” For the New York premiere of the movie, the actor seemed to be glistening in a plunging gold gown that included structural elements. Deviating a little from her previously donned dramatic outfits, the actor kept it simple and sophisticated while pulling off a style fitting for the film’s premiere at NYC’s Alice Tully Hall.
Lucy Liu stuns in Marchesa gown featuring a plunging neckline
On Monday, Lucy Liu made a striking appearance at the “Red One” premiere in New York. For the glamorous occasion, the actor wore a golden metallic Marchesa gown featuring a plunging V-neckline that almost reached her belly button. The body-hugging skirt boasted layered patterns around the hips, providing the gown with more structure. Moreover, a short trail was attached to the skirt that elevated the elegance of the ensemble.
Letting the gold glam of the Marchesa gown shine, Liu kept her accessories to a minimum. The actor let go of any neckpiece to flaunt her shoulders and torso through the plunging neckline. However, she did wear dangling golden moon earrings and rings from Azza Fahmy Jewellery to match her ensemble.
Liu’s long skirt hid her footwear, but the star revealed on Instagram that she wore heels from Sole Bliss. Stylist Sarah Slutsky Tooley assembled her look. Meanwhile, hairstylist Marco Santini pulled her hair into a long, sleek ponytail. Lastly, Jeannie Chong glammed up Liu’s look with black eyeliner, lashes, and a pink lip.
This isn’t the first time Lucy Liu has made news with her choice of outfit. For the London screening of “Red One,” she opted for business chic dressing with a three-piece all-black ensemble. The outfit featured a top resembling a corset, a matching jacket, and shorts. For the Berlin premiere of the movie, the actor wore a head-turning Zuhair Murad sculptural gown with “shard-like adornments.”
