The Gap gown featured a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit, which added to the outfit’s appeal. As per Rain Magazine, the designer, Zac Posen, expressed how the dress was a testament to their long-established relationship with the model.
Posen told the outlet that his collaboration with Rocha expanded over two decades. Calling her “a couture lifer,” he elaborated that he selected the specific gown for the model since he “loved the idea of taking something utilitarian and turning it into couture.”
Coco Rocha’s denim gown at the FGI anniversary event allowed the designer to experiment with various patterns and structures. The deep indigo hue further enhanced the pocket placements, intricate stripes, and buttons. This eventually gave birth to a gown that carried both haute couture and functional influences.
Notably, this Gap gown was an upcycled design and was put in place by repurposed Gap Icon Denim Jackets. Corey Jason Crysler took charge of Rocha’s makeup, featuring generous blush and matte lipstick, among other elements. Meanwhile, hairstylist Carolyn Cina is to credit for the model’s stylish bun.
The fashion icon has donned several eye-catching outfits over the years. For InStyle’s 30th birthday last month, Rocha wore a form-fitting LBD with long sleeves and a black bubble skirt. This chic outfit was in tune with the event’s overall vibe. She reportedly styled the outfit with Pandora Lab-Gown Diamonds and black strappy heels. Earlier this year, the model opted for elegantly structured outfits for Cannes 2024 and subsequent events.
