Cate Blanchett Kicks off Holiday Season Early in Bright Candy-Striped Outfit

Cate Blanchett gets an early start to the holiday season in a bright, candy-striped outfit for the “Rumours” screening at the 2024 London Film Festival. In an unusual but bold combination, the actor sported the striped skirt suit with a turquoise shirt and matching heels. Another unique element of her boss-lady ensemble was the exposed sleeves that offered an adequate glimpse at the contrasting colors. Moreover, her makeup looked minimal and appeared to match her classic, blonde bob.

Cate Blanchett’s arrival at the 2024 BFI London Film Festival in a candy-striped Rochas skirt suit outfit was fun and colorful. Her look is from the fashion brand’s Resort 2025 collection. Blanchett’s daring choice of attire was a creation of fashion stylist Elizabeth Stewart, as per WWD. She presented pop and contrasting colors of turquoise and candy cane shades as she seemingly walked the red carpet to kick off the holiday season a bit early this year.

The actor’s four-piece ensemble comprised a matching jacket and skirt set with candy stripes, a button-down shirt, and matching heels. The jacket accented a huge collar, transparent buttons, and horizontal stripes. Meanwhile, the similarly high-waist A-line skirt had draped fitting and vertical stripes. She wore the jacket over a contrasting shirt with long, exposing sleeves and matching pointed stilettos. Additionally, Blanchett pulled off her hair in her usual blonde bob, with the neutral makeup pairing well with the colorful layers of her outfit.

Cate Blanchett has been on a roll as “Rumours” arrives as her second project this year. Earlier, the two-time Oscar winner attended the screening of her new Apple TV+ thriller series Alfonso Cuarón’s “Disclaimer.” She wore an outfit from Stella McCartney’s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection from September 2023 Paris Fashion Week for this red carpet event. Blanchett’s outfit comprised a black suit with a plunging blazer and loose-fit pants. She had accessorized with a massive gold bird-shaped pendant.
