Lupita Nyong’o exuded high glam as she graced the red carpet for the TIFF Tribute Awards during the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival at the Fairmont Royal York on Sunday. The 41-year-old actress looked dazzling in a sequin floor-length black gown from Gucci. Nyong’o is well-known for her elegant style, and with this particular look, she definitely made a sequined fashion statement.

Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o looked stunning in a Gucci floor-length black sequin gown when she arrived for the TIFF Tribute Awards at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, reported Harper’s Bazaar. The sleeveless shimmery gown showcased a sheer black base parted by sequined lines, which were featured in vertical straps throughout the entire piece.
Nyong’o let her gorgeous gown shine by keeping her makeup simple. She accessorized it with a caramel brown leather Bamboo 1947 small top-handle bag from Gucci. She further made her look elegant with matching white and yellow diamond earrings and a ring. The actress styled her hair in a curly updo. A glowy makeup face, where she added a bit of drama with a glossy red lip, completed her look.
Before the award show, Lupita Nyong’o also attended the premiere of “The Wild Robot” at the 2024 TIFF. At the event, she donned a graceful and dreamy light green gown, which was a striking contrast to the sequin black gown she changed into.
The sci-fi animated movie “The Wild Robot” is an adaptation of Peter Brown’s novel of the same name. It was written and directed by Chris Sanders of “Lilo & Stitch” fame. Lupita Nyong’o voiced the main character, an abandoned robot named ROZZUM unit 7134, aka Roz. The voice cast also included Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Kit Connor, and more.
