Today in the world of news that will never make an appearance on the front page of the New York Times but we’re really glad happened anyway: Yet another Leonardo DiCaprio doppelganger has arisen! The latest and second greatest of the Leo look-alike tribe (Dane DeHaan is nothing to sniff at) is Brady Ellison, 27-year-old American Olympic archer.
SILVER!
Look at that form! CONGRATS @Brady_Ellison! pic.twitter.com/6Aj3vwxyqk

When Arizona-born Ellison, one of the world’s top-ranked archers, claimed a silver medal at the team event Saturday, his expertly shot arrow pierced through the hearts of Titanic, Revenant and (to keep this brief) Martin Scorsese fans the world over. Ellison, who’s often referred to as “The Prospector” due to his affinity for “finding gold,” shares his Oscar-winning alter ego’s intense stare, dashing goatee and killer bone structure — to a point. We have to admit the resemblance does fade somewhat once Ellis puts down his bow.
Some truly avid DiCaprio fans are decidedly not feeling the comparison between Ellison and their yacht- and environment-loving deity.
However, that won’t keep us from watching wistfully on as Ellison competes in the men’s individual archery event on Tuesday, August 9. It’s our patriotic duty.
