Kanye West is having a rough week. After a star-studded fashion show extravaganza, he admitted to the world that he’s $53 million in debt and publicly asked Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to financially bail him out. His album rollout left people scratching their heads when he pushed the premiere date back and only released it on Tidal. Not to mention, his wildly offensive lyrics about Taylor Swift left a bad taste in everyone’s mouths. Now, his bad fortune is hitting a bit closer to home.
West’s sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner, just signed a deal with Puma against his wishes. As we all know, Kanye West designs both sneakers and ready-to-wear for Adidas, a competing apparel brand. And he went on Twitter earlier this week to admonish Puma for even approaching Kylie. His words? “Never try to divide the family,” especially not for a “measly million dollars.”
Well, it looks like the Kardashians are now a family divided. Puma confirms Kylie signed on for a seven-figure deal that requires her to promote the brand’s releases on social media and star in ad campaigns. We’re pretty sure this means she’s disinvited from Yeezy Season 4. Conversations at the dinner table should be very interesting.
