With all the presents that celebrities, models and Instagram stars get gifted on the daily, we’re guessing it would be a little hard to keep track of everything you received.
Bar Refaeli has learned the hard way that you should always acknowledge the presents that you’re given, after being arrested by Israeli authorities on Thursday for not reporting things like, you know, free luxury accommodation and Range Rovers, among other legal conflicts.
AFP reports that Bar and her mother, Zipora, were questioned and arrested for allegedly evading taxes on millions of dollars of income from abroad by lying about the model’s residency, as well as receiving presents and “celebrity discounts”, which went unreported.

While Israeli citizens who aren’t residents are exempt from reporting income from abroad to tax authorities, it has been alleged that the top model and her mother fabricated a false appearance of Bar residing outside of Israel to avoid paying taxes.
A Range Rover and Lexus, which Bar received in exchange for her taking pictures with the cars, also weren’t registered under Bar’s name and it is said that she lived in lavish apartments under her mother and brother’s names.
The 30-year-old beauty has allegedly found loopholes in Israeli law before, after evading two years of mandatory military service by marrying her father’s friend, who she divorced a short while later.
Bar and her mother will be detained in their home country of Israel for 180 days after being forced to hand over their passports.
