Lisa Hyde’s The Bachelor S3, Ep 14 Low-Down: ‘We Get to Watch Him Squirm’

First up is Heather, who is from Queensland. Right from the beginning Heather has stuck by her word in wanting to build a friendship before moving forward and we have all questioned whether or not that has steered Sam in the wrong direction. I guess she has gotten this far, so she must be doing something right.

Although Heather has been honest and upfront, she still sometimes comes across a little bit of a closed book, so introducing Sam to the people closest to her will really help him figure Heather out that little bit more. As Heather talks about her background and her father, I realise she really is such a strong confident woman.

I also shed a tear hearing about her background. I really hope Sam doesn’t break her heart. She has been through a lot, but, saying that, she is still switched on and has come so far.

I’m sure there are plenty of girls inspired by Heather. I sure am. We didn’t get to meet Heather’s mum, but we did get to meet her good friends Laura and Warrick.

Warrick the straight shooter is tough as nails and I’m kind a little scared for Sam. I love that Warrick is sizing Sam up, but he could lighten up a little. Right from the get go the conversation has been intense. Mate, did we come at a bad time?

Despite that, Sam handled himself really well. I guess Warrick is just being over protective (like my dad), and who wouldn’t want a father figure like that in your life?

Next up is Lana. Sam seems a lot more relaxed and really happy to spend time with Lana. There is a lot of kissing on this date right from the start, and it’s obvious he has fallen for Lana.

Although he has only known Lana for a few weeks, the dates just seem to go so much smoother than the other girls’. Lana’s mum is really cute. Such a proud mum.

I remember when my mum brought out the old pictures of me. It was so embarrassing. Oh, wait. She’s not getting the photos. Straight to the grilling instead.

Sam is probably thinking, “What did I get myself into?” So far the parents are putting a lot of pressure on Sam, and I totally get it, but it’s also important to remember this should be a fun time to meet the guy your daughter has fallen for. I wanted my parents to be tough but not scare the man away.

Sarah’s up next and she’s planned a cute date on the beach. She definitely seems more comfortable in her home town. This is the first time I’ve actually seen Sarah come out of her shell.

You can tell family is very important to Sarah. Her brother and sister threw some tough questions Sam’s way, but how adorable was Sarah’s dad?

He was so lovely and welcoming. I remember my sister’s opinion to me was huge, so I can tell Sarah would of really wanted to find out whether or not her sister approved or not.

Snezana is lucky last and I’m actually excited to see how this date goes. Snezana has been a favourite of mine from the beginning. She seems so sweet and natural, probably the most comfortable with Sam out of all the ladies. I have to mention how beautiful the connection is between Snez and her daughter, just beautiful!

Sam gets the easiest, cutest questionnaire. What a little sweetie snez’ daughter is! Sam could of given a better score out of 10, though. C’mon Sam.

Now for Rob, who obviously needs to lighten up. In all honestly, it would be so important for a brother to get along with my partner. He is doing the brother thing and being all tough, but, seriously, why would you want a brother in law like that? If he lightened up and asked the questions in a more friendly way it would be far more effective.

By the end of the fourth date you can tell Sam is exhausted. After watching Sam with all the girls’ families, I’m not confident Snezana or Heather will be the two girls at the end.

My new front runners are Sarah and Lana, however, the truth is that it doesn’t really matter who I like the best or who i think will be the last girl standing. It comes down to who Sam believes he has the strongest connection and can see a further with.

Straight into the rose ceremony and all this dramatic music is making me nervous. I really don’t want to see any of these ladies go home. Oh no, it’s Heather.

Osher reminds her she didn’t receive a rose. Thanks, Osher, we get it. I cant help but feel sad for her. She looked devastated and who wouldn’t be after falling for a guy and introducing him to the most important people in your life?

We all loved Heather. But we need to remember that Sam is looking for a life partner and we just don’t know what is going through his head at this point in time, but we do know Heather and Sam will always have a special friendship, and whoever he ends up with I hope she allows them to still be friends.

Goodbye, Heather. I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of you.
