Set to mark a new chapter in fashion history for retailer, the Bruce by Bruce Oldfield collection will be bringing the designer’s couture aesthetic to the John Lewis customer for the first time ever. The goal was to transform those everyday go-to pieces with Oldfield’s signature couture silhouette. The colour palette of choice is mainly monochromatic as the collection is brought to life thanks to its clever use of innovative structure and textures.
As the capsule collection features a wide range of pieces, from skinny jeans to more exuberant items, such as velvet and silk statement dresses, Oldfield quite rightly refers to it as a “sophisticated, distinctive and versatile” collection. Among the standout pieces is definitely the collection’s black Little Bruce dress with £20 from the sale of each being donated to the Barnardo’s children’s charity, of which Oldfield is the vice president.
