We all know Drake has a pretty great ear for music, but does he have an eye for art? We’re about to find out as the rapper has been tapped to curate a show for Sotheby’s. Drake will choose works from black American artists like Basquiat, Kehinde Wiley, Nick Cave, David Hammons and more and will have an accompanying song to go with each piece, which you can listen to on dedicated Beats by Dre headphones set up at the exhibit.
The show is going to meld the worlds of music and art for Sotheby’s S|2 Contemporary Art Gallery, which has locations in New York, Hong Kong and London. The show is expected to run from April 28 to June 12. The art on display will be paired with music ranging from jazz to hip-hop, so it will be an opportunity to see the rapper’s taste in art, as well as music.
