Nicole Richie is coming to town, and it’s not just to visit her hubby, The Voice Australia judge Joel Madden. The bona fide fashionista has been announced as the international ambassador for the Golden Slipper Carnival in Sydney this March.
The 33-year-old pink-haired style guru will attend the Tooheys New Golden Slipper Day at Western Sydney’s Rosehill Gardens on March 21 to judge Myer’s Fashions on the Field, and is enthusiastic about horsing around with our racing crowd.
“Coming to Sydney for the 2015 Golden Slipper Festival is such an honour and I am so excited to announce my partnership with the club and be in Sydney for the Tooheys New Golden Slipper Day,” she said in a news release. “I look forward to a day of racing, judging of the coveted Myer Fashions on the Field and of course having the opportunity to meet everyone attending this iconic event.”
Australian Turf Club COO, Tony Partridge, is hoping Nicole’s involvement “will entice and excite a new breed of racing enthusiasts” as the Golden Slipper Carnival heads in a new direction. “Nicole Richie is the perfect ambassador for the new look Golden Slipper Carnival,” he said in a news release. “Nicole is very popular in Australia and we know so many fans will want to see Nicole at the races.”
