The Gary Pepper blog has won the award for Best Photography at the Bloglovin 2014 Awards in New York City tonight, beating blogs Shine By Three, Kayture, Fashion Toast and Sea of Shoes. Other Aussie blog hopefuls, like Tuula Vintage, Oracle Fox and The Chronicles of Her haven’t been as lucky as Nicole Warne, missing out on the top prize of their category.
We’re not surprised that Nicole’s blog took out the Best Photography prize. If you’ve taken one look at her Instagram or blog, which are often filled with dreamy overseas landscapes, you’ll understand why too. She’s also got a photographer boyfriend, Luke Shadbolt, on her team, helping create all the highly acclaimed photographic magic.
“Thank you for acknowledging Luke Shadbolt and Carin Olsson‘s talents, they make work an absolute dream and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to help convey the Gary Pepper perspective,” Nicole wrote to her blog after nominations were announced. “It just encourages us to keep going and we can’t wait to create and share even more with you all, for you all.”
Unfortunately, Amanda Shadworth of Chronicles of Her had her dreams of winning an award crushed when Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad took home the gong for Best Personal Style Award. Jessica Stein of Tuula Vintage also missed out on the award for Best Lifestyle Blog, as did Carmen Hamilton of Chronicles of Her in the Newcomer of the Year category.
