The CFDA Fashion Awards are fast approaching, with the big winners set to be feted at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall on June 2. Want to know what’s going through the nominees’ minds as the big date creeps closer? WWD went behind the scenes with some of the designers and honorees up for a prize in their respective categories. The industry trade released an on-set sit-down they had with each of the nominees they could get together for a photoshoot.
Of course, each graciously thanks the CFDA for their consideration and are tremendously #blessed to be recognized in this way. But perhaps the best bit comes from Bethann Hardison, who will receive the Founders Award for her work promoting diversity in the industry. Her reenactment of her reaction to hearing that she was getting the honor is simply adorable.
