Another week has come and thankfully my teammate Ray returned from the elimination room last week! This week we find out that there will no longer be any test shoots…it is straight into the campaigns with no practice!
For this challenge, we got to do an Alex and Ani commercial and I was so excited for it! I feel that a major advantage I have on a lot of the girls is my personality. I know I just have to use it to my advantage and really bring a lot of energy. I have to really allow my personality to shine through, but most importantly make the product shine. Because as Naomi says, “It isn’t about the girls, it’s about the product.”
On the rooftop we had some time to work on our script. I feel we did a great job as a team developing ours. And, of course, Lydia came to the rescue to help us make the final touches. She also had us do repetitive exercises to help us remember our lines. Boy, did these come in handy when it came time for the camera! As always, we were the first team to go.
We were on a 15-minute time limit and time was running out. A very big misinterpretation in this episode was that everyone was qualified to win when the client made his decision. In the 15 minutes we had, we never managed to get a clean take under 30 seconds. So, we were disqualified and could not have won. This is really too bad because if we could have just been a few seconds quicker, we would have won this week no doubt in my mind!
Reality of it, we didn’t win, Team Anne won again. Time for another one of us to face elimination. I feel Lydia made the right and fair decision by putting Allison up for elimination due to her performance this week. She was the weakest on our team, but in no way she is the weakest girl here. She did not deserve to go home and I am glad Anne gave her the chance to stay. Again, team Lydia gets our girl back, yay us! I hate to see Alana go, but it is time for us to refocus and win this next campaign.
