Prada and Miu Miu collections are typically considered truly trendsetting for the season (or seasons) ahead and similarly, being cast in a Prada campaign or runway show can effectively launch a model’s career. (That’s part of the reason many were upset to learn that Malaika Firth was the first black model to appear in a Prada campaign in nineteen years.)
So: Forum members were pleased that when the first image (above) from Prada’s Resort 2014 campaign appeared online a few days ago, it starred a relative newcomer to the modeling industry, the German model Anna Ewars, who just closed out a stellar season at the Spring 2014 shows.
Two more photos have just popped up in the Forums. The new ads, photographed by Steven Meisel, feature Amanda Murphy and Cameron Russell, who both appeared in the Fall 2013 campaign and are among the industry’s most in-demand models. (Russell, a Victoria’s Secret Angel, is also known for her activist projects and a ‘Looks Aren’t Everything’ TED Talk, which went viral last year.)
Prada’s ads typically feature almost comically large campaign casts, so additional photos from the label’s Resort 2014 campaign are likely to trickle in within the next few days.
