Warnaco Group Inc., a billion dollar fashion corporation based out of New York City that owns Warner’s, Olga, Lejaby, Speedo, Anne Cole, the JLO by Jennifer Lopez part of Calvin Klein, and many other brands, is updating the Calvin Klein Steel range of men’s underwear with nine new colors and launching a pan-European male model search that will span no less than nine countries. The new underwear launches and the model search (the winner will be awarded a one year contract with Select Model Management and a luxury trip for two to South Africa), tie into each other in an intriguing way. Each of the nine new Steel color-ways are meant to represent the flag of one of the countries participating in the model competition – and a way for shoppers to show their patriotism, we suppose.
If so, put yourself up for the vote by the judging panel which includes current Calvin Klein underwear model, actor Jamie Dornan, executives from Select Model Management, Calvin Klein, and press. To enter you must apply through an in-store casting at participating stores across Europe, or you can submit photographs of yourself wearing Calvin Klein Underwear at 9countries9men.com, beginning August 14th.
