With the dire New York City weather, the poor state of the economy, and a number of boutique and restaurant closings plaguing the city’s Soho area, it’s wonderful news that Lisa Perry – queen of color and cheerful fashion – has opened a pop up shop in the area.
The store, located at 134 Spring Street in a space formerly occupied by Hogan, will be open through the end of August, and will feature Perry’s signature fashion collection and home furnishings line as well as items that have inspired the Chicago-born designer over the years.
Lisa Perry fans can find her signature collection of fun, whimsically colorful dresses as well as handbags in an array of colors, shapes and sizes that embody the designer’s upbeat aesthetic.
Perry’s collection, housed in a 2,500 square foot space, combines geometric shapes with bold colors and girl’s dresses in signature “Circle” and “Dot” designs that will be available in sizes 4 to 7.
The store will also feature the Lisa Perry home furnishings collection. Sheets, duvet covers, throw pillows, notepads, place mats and coasters all feature Perry’s signature dots and bold flowers in bright colors.
Shoppers will also be able to purchase gift items that reflect the designer’s style. Items range from architecture, fashion, and art books, Mini Vitra collectibles, jewelry, Utensilo organizers, rare DVDs of movies from the 60’s, to vintage and new Heller dishware in bright colors.
The Lisa Perry Pop-Up Shop (134 Spring Street between Wooster and Greene) will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 AM until 7 PM, and on Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM As of now, it’s only slated to stay open through August, but word is that Perry may opt to extend her lease.
