President Barack Obama is a fan of The Jorg Gray line of watches. He even ditched his Tag Heuer for the line’s sporty black chronograph, and has been wearing it to almost every major political event. The little known brand has previously only been distributed in the corporate gifts market, but because of heightened visibility due to Obama – who even wore his sporty watch to the inaugural balls – the Jorg Gray brand is now getting into the retail sector game. It was a member of President Barack Obama’s security detail who gave the then-Senator the watch for his birthday back in August of 2007.
The line launched a site – Barackswatch.com – two months ago and they are hitting up Baselworld next week to scope out some retail partners. The Jorg Gray is owned by a parent company Logomark, whose focus is on making customized shirts, totes, and key chains for corporate clients.
