In celebration of the 2009 awards season, L’Oréal Paris continues its tradition of honoring Hollywood’s most talented women in film and television with what they are calling a good luck charm. The charm is actually a mirrored compact imbedded with bold, colorful gemstones.
Designed by fine jewelry company Carelle, the 2009 Golden Globes Compact was presented to top female nominees in the Best Actress Drama and Best Actress Comedy categories and one compact is currently being auctioned off on eBay at www.ebay.com/lorealparis as part of eBay’s Giving Works. All proceeds will go to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
The compact is called “Harmony” and it’s a combination of lemon citrine and pale green quartz stones set in sterling silver plated in 18K yellow gold with diamond details in honor of the Golden Globes. The compact is valued at $3650, but the opening bid was set at $500. The auction runs through January 18th.
