Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards Red Carpet

Every woman at the event brought a new definition to glamour as she walked the red carpet. Perhaps it was Queen Rania of Jordan who captured it best when she said glamour wasn’t about “how good you can look, but how much good you can do.”

Always a risk taker when it comes to red carpet fashion, Fergie stunned in a one-shoulder dress by Zac Posen. The singer’s husband, actor Josh Duhamel, beamed to a reporter, “Did you see that red dress? She looks gorgeous!”

Kate Hudson revealed a metallic gown by Lanvin as she made her way to Carnegie Hall. Thrilled to present her friend Fergie with her Women of the Year award, Kate kept her accessories simple, channeling the days of old Hollywood with side-swept hair and seductive charm.

Janet Jackson, who has been receiving acclaim for her performance in Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls, kept it simple and ultra sexy in Versace. Showing just the right amount of skin, Jackson’s curve hugging dress accentuated the singer-turned-actress’ toned figure.

Hilary Swank wore a silk pewter-colored Atelier Versace to present Donatella Versace with her award. Swank confessed that she was actually wearing a Versace dress when she won her first Golden Globe for Boys Don’t Cry.

An artist like Cher needs no introduction, so there was no need for the lifetime achievement award winner to overdo it on the red carpet. Dressed in all black, Cher’s most eye popping accessory was a simple bejeweled pin on the lapel of her leather jacket that read simply “ROCK.”
