Kylie Jenner Is Donating All the Proceeds From Her New Lip Kit to an Awesome Cause

When Kylie Jenner’s latest Lip Kit inevitably sells out before we’ve even realized it’s gone live, it’ll be pride, not grief that strikes our hearts. On October 3, also known as World Smile Day, Kylie’s newest shade, Smile, will hit KylieCosmetics.com (at 11 a.m. PST). All proceeds from the sales of the pale pink lipstick will benefit Smile Train, a charitable organization that “provides 100 percent-free cleft repair surgery and comprehensive cleft care to children in 85+ developing countries” using a sustainable model that “empowers local doctors to provide cleft care in their own communities.”

Yesterday, Jenner took to Twitter to share the news.

The corrective procedure allows those born with cleft lips to perform “the basic abilities most of us take for granted…like eating a meal…speaking… breathing…or even something as simple as sharing a smile.” (FYI, Cleft lips and palates make up the most common birth defect in the United States.) If your heartstrings are currently as tugged as ours, no need to wait until Monday to make a difference — you can make a direction donation here.

How to Spot a Knockoff Kylie Jenner Lip Kit a Mile Away ]

Last time Ky dropped a Lip Kit, she sent the world a message about inclusivity. This time around, she’s letting her philanthropic flag fly. Whatever the Better Business Bureau may have said about Kylie Cosmetics in the past, we’d say that the company’s headed in a great direction. At $250 per surgery, we can only imagine how many children will benefit from 100 percent of the net Smile Kit proceeds.

Then there’s the fact that Smile is basically the perfect shade of rose, so what we’ve got here is a win-win situation. Brava, Kylie.
