Kate Spade is putting her best foot forward for her grand return to the fashion world. The designer will release a line of accessories set to hit shelves in time for the holidays. Spade, who left her eponymous brand in 2007, says she has spent the last few years focusing on family. Her new accessories collection will have plenty of shoes and handbags, which is what she does best.
According to WWD, retailers will be looking at the yet-to-be-named collection this week and next, though there is no word on when the rest of us will get to see it. Considering it’s for holiday, we’re expecting to see a little sparkle in the offering, perhaps a generous helping of glitter even.
Kate Spade the brand is currently under the design direction of Deborah Lloyd, who took the position after the label was sold to Liz Claiborne. We have certainly missed seeing Spade’s creations and are excited to see what she has conceived for her great return to fashion.
