Karl Lagerfeld is a grown-ass man and he is not going to do anything he doesn’t want to do. And in this case, Kaiser Karl really does not want to appear in the upcoming Zoolander 2 film. The movie is expected to be filled with cameos from fashion people, but you’re going to have to count out one of the industry’s most influential designers because he is reportedly not down with appearing on the silver screen alongside Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.
“I don’t want to be in the movie!” he told Hello! “They wanted me to be in the movie!” And why did he turn down a chance to bask in the glory of Hollywood? Apparently, he wasn’t quite into that Valentino catwalk cameo Ben and Owen pulled in March during Paris Fashion Week. “I didn’t like it,” he said. “I’m not an actor.” Hey, at least the man knows his strengths.
Kanye West is rumored to be appearing in Zoolander 2 and Carine Roitfeld admitted she’d be down to be in the movie, so if they can’t get Karl, there is a whole host of fashion elites to choose from.
