An endorsement by Kate Middleton is priceless. Well, almost. New Zealand beauty brand Trilogy is reaping huge financial benefits since Kate counted one of its products as an essential in a major magazine, seeing sales and shares rise for the company as a result.
It all started when US Weekly claimed that Kate, who is around seven months along in her pregnancy, applies Trilogy’s Rosehip Oil to fight wrinkles naturally and keep her beauty look flawless.
To keep things believable, a source close to Kate told the publication that, “Kate continues to use rosehip oil in her daily skincare regiment.” “She loves the effect is has on her skin,” the source added, noting that Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, is also a big fan.

Daily Mail Australia reports that, on the day of publication of the story just last week, Trilogy’s shares increased by nine per cent to 82 cents and that sales in the US and the UK have been through the roof. I guess Kate’s thumbs up isn’t so priceless after all.
Apparently Kate was gifted the product during her recent trip to NZ last year, according to Daily Mail Australia, and Trilogy’s international spokeswoman, Lisa Wilson, is “absolutely over the moon”.
“Celebrity endorsements of this scale can be transformational for a company,” she said. “Especially for us, centered down here, it’s really quite exceptional to think our product may have made it into the hands of the Duchess of Cambridge.”
And that, children, is what we call The Kate Effect. We saw a similar thing happen when the Duchess wore an embroidered Zimmermann piece and DVF wrap dress during her Australia-NZ tour, with both pieces either selling out or receiving international interest.
