Chiara Ferragni’s Shoe Collection is Going to Make Her a LOT of Money

Who says blogging doesn’t pay? It’s making The Blonde Salad’s Chiara Ferragni a cute little coin. She launched her website five years ago, an anniversary which she will fete tonight, and no doubt about it, the blogger has a lot to celebrate. Besides the fact that she’s enjoyed wild success and lofty opportunities through her blog presence, she’s moved on to designing shoes, launching the Chiara Ferragni Collection, which according to WWD, is about to make her very, very rich.

The line, comprised mostly of whimsical sparkly loafers, is expected to do $8 million in revenue, which sounds like a big number, but when you consider the breadth of Ferragni’s success with shoes, should come as little surprise. Her collaboration with Steve Madden sold 16,000 pairs in just two weeks. Her collaboration with Superga followed suit, selling out in only a few weeks. If anything, the girl knows how to sell some shoes.

Ferragni recently made her shoe collection available in the United States, debuting her offerings for Fall 2014 at the Magic tradeshow that went down in Las Vegas. Sure, The Blonde Salad blog makes plenty of cash, but the real money for Ferragni is cearly in the shoe biz.
