This time around, the Louis Vuitton clad model is photographed by Mario Testino, serving up a modern 60s vibe, which didn’t go over too well in our forums.
Miss Dalloway was thoroughly unimpressed with the casting: “Cara again! Maybe she is the new Kate. Except Moss could sell me a paper bag! There is one word for this cover; insipid.”
“Don’t like it at all, she looks like a luxury zombie,” Nymphaea observed. While Avogadro wrote simply, “I find nothing appealing.”
Some thought the shot made Cara look younger than she already is: “I don’t know if it’s just me but I would love to see a model looking like a grown woman on a cover, not a twelve year old,” shared Tinsley V.
Forum member littlekiki agreed, “She looks like a four foot tall child. The jacket looks oversized on her.” Later adding, “There are going to be a lot of 14-year-old Instagram girls buying this issue.” Not sure what that’s supposed to mean, but to Vogue UK, probably money.
Obviously, few are feeling the cover, but I think Royal-Galliano summed up everyone’s sentiments pretty well: “For a fashion issue, it’s pretty lackluster.”
