Glamour is always a good idea, even during these trying times. Emmanuelle Alt apparently agrees. Unwilling to deliver a blank cover or mask-wearing models kissing in response to the ongoing pandemic, Alt reminds us of brighter days ahead with two retro glam covers for the French fashion bible’s latest. Sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid each make a return to the cover of Vogue Paris for its double May/June 2020 edition. Captured by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the girls strike similar poses wearing haute couture creations from Christian Dior and Dolce & Gabbana selected by Alt for the two cover images.
Needless to say, the covers were an instant hit on our forums. “Like every single month, Emmanuelle is delivering some real and delicious fashion. Stunning,” praised helmutnotdead.
“Happy that Emmanuelle stayed true to herself. Beautiful covers and a much needed escape,” echoed YohjiAddict.
“Honestly, I can’t find any fault with this… I’m so happy with this, I can’t wait to see the content,” raved kokobombon.

LastNight was in the same frame of mind: “Bella’s cover is gorgeous! It’s so nice to see some unapologetic glamour — exactly what I want from a fashion magazine.”
“From heavy makeup to heavy styling — I love it!! The Hadids, opulence, vintage glamour — what’s there not to love? At first I preferred Bella’s because I love the clean, Grecian vibe and she’s so beautiful. But the more I look at it, the more I prefer the heaviness and pure glamour of Gigi’s cover,” admitted aracic.
“This is the glamorous escape I needed. Gigi and Bella aren’t my favorite models to say the least, but I’ve been warming up to them both over time and I think they look pretty decent on their respective covers!” confessed bluestar.
