Ever since she first became affiliated with the legendary French fashion house back in 2013, our forums have had a love/hate relationship with Jennifer Lawrence x Christian Dior. After countless advertising campaigns from handbags to lipstick, Jennifer has still yet to solidify herself as a Dior woman in our forum members’ eyes (no matter how many different Dior handbags she totes walking through the airport). The label continues to milk J.Law’s contract for all it’s worth, enlisting the actress to front the newly unveiled Resort 2018 campaign. Shot by Brigitte Lacombe (again), Jennifer echoes the aesthetic of Dior’s resort showcase, which was held at a large open space nature preserve in California, for the desert-inspired campaign.

The images were sure to generate buzz. “Oh I quite love this! I think it’s her best ad for the house. Mostly because it’s the one where she looks more at ease since it doesn’t have that forced ladylike image,” reasoned Marc10.
“This fits her personality/real-life style better, IMO. I find her more believable as a spokesperson now,” added kokobombon.
“The styling is too much! They couldn’t tone it down a bit? I like the setting and images. Couldn’t stand Jennifer for Dior initially, but she’s certainly more believable with Maria’s collections,” echoed Benn98.
Feeling the same way toward the styling was YohjiAddict. “The scarf on her head is a bit too much, but I agree, if I didn’t hate Dior already I would actually like this. It has some soul to it unlike her past campaigns,” he noted.
“Those bags are some of the ugliest things I’ve ever seen,” exclaimed a horrified dior_couture1245.
“I would be more into this without the hideous J’adior bags,” voiced forum member kenndale.
Nomar wasn’t exactly overjoyed with the outcome either. “This looks like a bad fashion editorial,” he complained.
