Gigi Hadid Stars in Vogue Eyewear’s ‘Cheap and Corny’ Fall 2017 Ad Campaign

Are the Hadid sisters set to snatch all major campaigns for the upcoming Fall 2017 season like they did for Spring 2017? It’s sure starting to look that way, with Bella already fronting campaigns for Giuseppe Zanotti and Bulgari. Now, Gigi Hadid is the face of Vogue Eyewear, starring in a newly unveiled advertising campaign. Following in the footsteps of modeling legends Gisele Bündchen and Kate Moss, Gigi appears in the vibrant #ShowYourVogue campaign, shot on location by photographic duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

According to our forum members, however, the campaign turned out to be a total flop. “Huge mess,” said an underwhelmed madzedre straight away.

“The whole campaign is a mess…” echoed a dumbfounded Zposen.

Lola701 wasn’t buying it either. “While she totally makes sense for Vogue Eyewear… it’s a mess! That picture with the horse (below) reminds me of Mariacarla [Boscono] for Chanel’s Spring 2003 advertising campaign,” she pointed out.

“If Gigi wasn’t famous enough (as if!), she will be with this campaign. This brand comes with a remarkably vast reach. Not surprised that the shots look so cheap and corny, but I’m more surprised that it was done by M&M. They clearly just took the money and ran here!” voiced a disapproving Benn98.
