From Marc Jacobs campaigns to covers of Love Magazine, Katie Grand has been a strong supporter of Kendall Jenner’s modeling career. Continuing the love-fest (get it?), Grand has enlisted the current face of La Perla to work behind the scenes to photograph several covers for Love‘s upcoming Spring 2017 issue. Following an open casting call via Instagram last year, Grand and Jenner have selected seventeen of their favorites, who’ve each been awarded a solo cover appearance.
Undeniably a nice start to 2017 for the winners, but our forum members won’t be buying a copy. “Behind the camera as well as in front of it now. God help us all,” snarled honeycombchild, disapproving of Kendall’s latest gig straight away.
“Stay behind the camera please and thank you. Perhaps she’ll retire from modeling and take up photography full time. One can dream right?” asked GivenchyHomme.
“Oh dear God! I thought it was bad enough having to endure their pointless capsule collections, but no. Katie Grand had to take it to another level. This magazine is such a joke. What form of legitimacy does Kendall have to shoot covers? The shot (above) does not warrant any type of response from the viewer at all,” added an uninterested Benn98.
Also unwilling to show support was anlabe32: “Katie Grand, this magazine, Kendall Jenner, the fact that they had an Instagram contest… it’s all such an enormous joke and it proves that Katie is sooo, sooo desperate!”
Mistress_f wasn’t exactly feeling it either. “This magazine has now turned into a parody of itself,” she laughed.
Expressing the same attitude toward the covers was Nepenthes, sharing, “This magazine has really gone downhill. It used to be one of my favorites.”
