Rooney Mara attended the premiere of the much-anticipated Girl With the Dragon Tattoo movie in London wearing a Givenchy gown that simultaneously revealed and concealed. Since making the film she seems to be trying to maintain some of her Lisbeth Salander edge by keeping her hair dark, her bangs blunt, and her smile elusive. Forum members applauded the premiere look.
“She looks stunning,” wrote Wolkfolk. “The hair and makeup is flawless and the dress is a really great choice.”
Catherine88 agreed: “This dress is soooo beautiful. I think she couldn’t have picked better.”
“She has definitely set herself apart fashion-wise with this pick for her first big movie premiere. I think it’s safe to say that we can expect avant-garde pieces from her in the future,” eternitygoddess predicted. “She’s going to become the new darling of the fashion world.”
With plenty more premieres and promotional tours to come for this film, we’ll have ample opportunities to assess whether eternitygoddess is right. I don’t think Rooney is calling the shots when it comes to her current image, but there’s definitely something intriguing going on with her look.
