Sydney Sweeney Reveals Simple Trick to Combat Hair Color After Effects

Sydney Sweeney has revealed a simple trick to combat hair color after-effects, and it is one to take note of. While the actor has made waves as a blonde bombshell on the popular show “Euphoria,” it’s not the shade she was born with. The 27-year-old, who is a natural brunette, has continued to flaunt several different looks on screen in her successful acting career. Now, Sweeney is opening up about how the constant dyeing for multiple roles damaged her hair and left it “fried.”

In an interview with Harper’s BAZAAR, Sydney Sweeney shared she has been “playing around” with her hair over the last few years. After recalling she went blonde for her “Euphoria” character, Cassie, the actor said, “Then, I dyed my hair red for another role.” However, she had to return to her blonde hair straight after that. Sweeney shared, “It fried my hair.” She recalled, “I was the girl in the shower pulling hair out like cotton candy and crying my eyes out.” 

Sweeney shared that she started to focus on making her natural hair “as healthy as possible” before she colored it again. The “Madame Web” star added that she also started using wigs whenever needed. Besides that, Sweeney shared she loves “embracing every color.” She said, “It’s so fun and a great way to express yourself.” The actor continued different hair colors help to bring out “different sides of yourself” and that she loves herself in “all hair colors.” 

Last month, the Kérastase brand ambassador, also celebrated the luxury hair brand’s 60th anniversary. Sweeney joined Ebonee Davis, Emily Ratajkowski, and Yang Mi to showcase her musical talents they sang a sultry rendition of the “Happy Birthday” song.
